It will be the first time in 12 years that I will not be attending the SAP’s annual conference SAPPHIRE in Orlando. SAPPHIRE used to be a great conference to see the latest and greatest in software technology. But today’s world it has turned to be a pure marketing, networking and sales event. As much as SAP wants every customer to buy HANA, I have got tired of its pure marketing spiel. As they say, adapt as the technology changes, as the business changes.
